Hi, I have just bought the same USB to Ethernet adaptater. It seems that there is a OPENBSD/Zaurus working stuff :
http://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showt...t=0entry97454 As shasn, i could try to make the module, but i do not know from where to start?? Here are the data that i have found about this product : QUOTE Ethernet Adapters In addition to the "software emulated" adapter model used in smart peripherals, there are also single-purpose adapters using real hardware. In particular, the ASIX 8817x chips are used in a wide variety of high speed (480 Mbit/s) capable 10/100 Ethernet adapters. There are also 10/100/1000 versions. Device Minidriver * Notes ASIX 88172, * asix ATEN UC210T, * D-Link DUB-E100, * Hawking UF200, * Linksys USB200M, * Netgear FA120, * Intellinet, * ST Lab USB Ethernet, * TrendNet TU2-ET100, * ... All these are based on the same core hardware. This originally used separate driver, but then it merged with "usbnet". Later kernels split out this minidriver into its own module. And the details about the hardware is : ASIX AX88172 usb-to-ethernet controller & RealTek RTL8201 PHY Stupid questions : Where to find the sources? How to compile the sources (ie on the zaurus, something like ./configure, make..) or with one of the "cross stuff" on a PC x86 ?? Can i use the openbsd module as is? why i bought this stupid USB adaptater and not a CompatibleWithMeanieModule One ?? |

according to http://www.qbik.ch/usb/devices/showdescr.php?id=2520 that adapter should work with usbnet module (atleast when used 2.6 kernel - don't know how it looks in 2.4-crapix)
