Hello,
I have read the setup instructions on the Wiki, and I _think_ I have things set up right. My build starts and runs (for a long time) then I begin having a problem building task-python-everything: NOTE: package python-2.4.2: started NOTE: package python-2.4.2-ml2: task do_fetch: started NOTE: fetch ftp://www.python.org/pub/python/2.4.2/Python-2.4.2.tar.bz2 --12:08:11-- ftp://www.python.org/pub/python/2.4.2/Python-2.4.2.tar.bz2 => `/home/duane/sources/Python-2.4.2.tar.bz2' Resolving www.python.org... 82.94.237.218 Connecting to www.python.org|82.94.237.218|:21... failed: Connection refused. Thanks, Duane |

Presumably the Python website was down, or is the URL wrong for the file?

QUOTE(lardman @ Oct 19 2005, 10:44 AM) Ah, I am still new to this! I did a monotone pull (vanilla.de didn't work, so I tried a mirror) and then an update. Was the pull necessary? Just for my own education. Thanks, Duane |

Yes it was necessary.
You pull to update the database (the huge OE.db file), then run update to update the actual files in your org.openembedded.dev directory from the new ones in the database. Si |
