:) Thanks to those that replied to my questions yesterday. I have managed to set up the pod ok, and have recorded some tv! I have also managed, by messing with the buttons to delete files as well, so have got rid of all the demo stuff put on by Archos. One more question, what is the best way to connect to audio hi-fi? I have quite an old separates (but good) system. At the front of the amp. there are the usual yellow, white and red connections is this the way to go

Hi Tommo, did you have the "Action Icon Help" activated? Once activated, any button (those on the bottom right of the AV500) when pressed will have text to prompt you the respective button's function. Makes like easier rather than remembering those Icons, btw connecting to the PC is the best choice for file management e.g. rename, delete.... 1. From the main screen, select the Settings action icon to reveal the menu items for various settings. 2. Goto Display setting and select "Action Icon Help" For connections to Hi-Fi, you have to make sure the ones you mentioned on your AMP are output source for rercording. The Red and White ones are pretty straight forward = Left and Right audio channels. For Yellow(Video) on your AMP, you have to make sure your Video source(DVD or VCD player) is connected to your AMP and then to your Display(TV, LCD...) Cheers! |
