 The model is a Voyager from Colorgraphic. |

I have researched this. I have not seen a single report of someone successfully using that card. AFAIK, it needs someone to write a new driver.

This note above is valid for PCMCIA version, not for CF. I have already ported Xipaq driver to the latest Angstrom snapshot. You can ignore the message "Found Voyager VGA card", it means nothing. Voyager VGA is simpy anonymous undetectable card (no CIS attribute memory), and the driver blindly assumes Voyager VGA whenever HP VGA detection fails. I even don't know the correct power voltage. I just dismantled it. It contains confidential chip (with label removed by the solvent), which can be anything but Cirrus Logic GD5422 - as far as I know, it had never any version with integrated memory and I see no RAM chip. At least Cacko repositories contain a driver for it. Or get an used Iodata CFXGA (out of production, hard to get) with an official Zaurus support. |

I just found and fixed faulty soldered joint in my card. It invalidates all my previous tests - my card was dead.
Additionally I just found another thread, which implies, that Colorgraphic Voyager CF VGA might be very similar to Iodata CFXGA, which has both official (mirroring) and unofficial (X server) drivers. Can anybody with this card and Sharp ROM verify, that this card works with driversfrom Iodata? |
