For CJK people, good news... We have player that display CJK characters correctly.
I compiled beep-media-player (BMP). However, the decoder in the player use floating point algorithm. This used almost 100% CPU in my C860 (with all visualization, etc switched off). Fortunately, BMP can use XMMS plugins. That means you can use the integer algorithm plugin in XMMS (such as XMMS mad plugin). I splited it into a number of ipks for easy installation. 1. BMP program Install this ipk
bmp_0.9.7_armv5tel.ipk ( 739.79K )
Number of downloads: 642. Plugins 2.1 MP3 decoder (required if you are going to listen MP3s) There are 2 options. You should only install one of the two. 1. Floating point decoder:
bmp_plugin_mp3_0.9.7_armv5tel.ipk ( 89.65K )
Number of downloads: 432. Integer decoder from XMMS. No dependency on XMMS (i.e., you can remove XMMS):
bmp_plugin_mad_0.9.7_armv5tel.ipk ( 19.68K )
Number of downloads: 56(xmms-mad 0.8 from sourceforge.net and ported to BMP) 2.2 Ogg decoder (required if you are going to listen OGGs) Two options again. You should only install one of the two. 1. Floating point decoder (you need to install libogg and libvorbis):
bmp_plugin_vorbis_0.9.7_armv5tel.ipk ( 38.72K )
Number of downloads: 32
libogg_1.1.2_armv5tel.ipk ( 8.97K )
Number of downloads: 30
libvorbis_1.1.0_armv5tel.ipk ( 197.85K )
Number of downloads: 392. Integer decoder from XMMS. No dependency on XMMS (i.e., you can remove XMMS):
bmp_plugin_tremor_0.9.7_armv5tel.ipk ( 12.32K )
Number of downloads: 39(compiled for BMP) 2.3 CD Audio (required if you are going to listen CD?!):
bmp_cdaudio_0.9.7_armv5tel.ipk ( 22.56K )
Number of downloads: 342.4 WAV decoder (required if you are going to listen WAV):
bmp_plugin_wav_0.9.7_armv5tel.ipk ( 5.24K )
Number of downloads: 36MAD and Tremor plugin gives a very good performance and I suggest you to use these two plugins instead of their floating point counterparts. Enjoy... This post has been edited by cs_jacky: Jan 13 2006, 05:37 AM |
