Is there any practical possibility to use WLAN and any storage card at the same time? In this way i could download bigger files or hear music while being online.
//edit: I want to use the open simpad linux. Regards Martin |

I am trying to make a SanDisk ConnectPlus card, this card combine a 802.11b card and 128Mb. I was able to make it work with limited success. ei I can use the WIFI or the 128MB of flash but, at this time, not both at the same time. I am doing those test with a snapshot version of GPE/familiar 0.8.3. (Not RC1)
If you want to start test with this card make sure your have PRISM3 drivers and be aware it does not startup correctly out of the box. I am still working on the actual procedure to make it work. I am not sure how this card is supported with OpenSimpad. The other option is mod your Simpad to add a SD card. This way you can use the PCMCIA slot for network and SD for storage. Salutations. Guy. If you look at these threads, you will have information on adding an mmc/sd interface on a Simpad. The drivers updated to support this new hardware is also discuss in the messages.
I probably would give it a try, but with 5 kids, time is a commodity i don't have to much of. Remember the chances of killing your Simpad are very high if you go that route. You have been warn....
