This thread is reserved solely for announcements of newly available or updated contributed packages[*] so that people can just check one thread to see what goodies are available.
One package (or set of closely related packages) per post. If you want to discuss/report bugs etc on the packages then start a new thread. The current list of contributed packages is here: http://mail.pdaxrom.org/contrib/list.txt For a vaguely categorised list go here: http://mail.pdaxrom.org/contrib/ If you would like to contribute a package (or documentation) but don't have (or don't want to use) your own webspace then see this post: http://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=18285 [*] contributed packages are those that have been made by regular pdaXrom users and are not yet in the official feed ps: Laze, could you please pin this thread |

GNUDoku 0.93
description http://icculus.org/~jcspray/GNUDoku/ GNUDoku is a free program for creating and solving Su Doku puzzles. You can use GNUDoku to challenge yourself, to compute solutions, or to verify your own solutions. download http://mail.pdaxrom.org/contrib/desertrat/...93_armv5tel.ipk dependencies glibmm2_2.8.4_armv5tel.ipk gtkmm2_2.6.5_armv5tel.ipk libsigc++2_2.0.17_armv5tel.ipk all of which can be downloaded from: http://mail.pdaxrom.org/contrib/armagon notes The reason for compiling this is that the version of Sudoku here does not display well in landscape mode (it uses a non-resizeable portrait window), whereas GNUDoku has a resizeable window with the contents autoscaling.

Gaim 2.0.0beta2
description http://gaim.sourceforge.net/ Gaim is a multi-protocol instant messaging (IM) client for Linux, BSD, MacOS X, and Windows. It is compatible with AIM and ICQ (Oscar protocol), MSN Messenger, Yahoo!, IRC, Jabber, Gadu-Gadu, SILC, Novell GroupWise Messenger, Lotus Sametime, and Zephyr networks. download http://mail.pdaxrom.org/contrib/desertrat/...a2_armv5tel.ipk notes This was compiled without libao support, which apparently is still buggy. To enable sound follow these steps: 1) [Tools] > [Preferences] > [Sounds] 2) Under "Sound Method" select "Command" 3) In "Sound command" enter: esdplay %s The default sounds seems to be a bit on the quiet side, you may want to find some alternatives. I have only tested this with ICQ, so YMMV [Update 2006-03-29] I have now stripped the binaries and libraries and repackaged. The resulting ipk is less than half it's previous size! |

gthumb 2.6.9
Description : A (fast) image viewer with lots of features. See gthumb homepage. Download : It has been added to the contrib part of the pdaXrom-site (thanks pgas): Direct download from Chero's feed Notes : There is a page online with screenshots of my Zaurus created with gthumb in just a few clicks over here. A few things have already been said about this and comments/success are welcome in this thread. The recent version includes gphoto-support, which means you can select images from your digital camera using gthumb. There's more info on it in the thread mentioned above and in this thread.. You can also find the needed "libgphoto" over there, if you want this function. I didn't include it in the dependencies, cause I suppose some want to use the program without the use of a digital camera. Have fun, Chero. This post has been edited by Chero: Mar 24 2006, 11:27 AM |

Hi,
ported Blobwars for pdaxrom. ![]() (screenshot from their website) game has some issues but it runs. First of all, when you start, it complains about running as root user. I tried to create a user and to run the game as that user but i had some erros, no time to debug it. Game speed is slow on my C3000 but overclocking to 624 Mhz makes it playable. -have fun ps: (alt+enter to enter fullscreen) pps:(alt=kanji next to left ctrl) ipkg: http://193.201.129.245/zivania/ipkg/blobwa....4_armv5tel.ipk |

OpenVPN 2.0.5 ported
LZO 2.02 ported OpenVPN it' s a encrypted Tunneling server. The server is open source and built for various platforms included all Unixes and Windowses OS. I ported it, so now you can secure connect via Wlan, GPRS or anything you want to your server with the Zauri. LZO is the compression library needed by OpenVPN. Let me know! Deathchase 3D is a remake of the Sinclair Spectrum game of the same name.
It's a pseudo 3D game based on the light speeder sequence from "Return of the Jedi" where you have to shoot the bad guys' speeders. ![]() Changed the original keys, now it uses LEFT, RIGHT, UP, DOWN, SPACE and ESC. [attachment=2265:attachment]

I'm not one, but I know there are fans of Football Manager games.
Web page says: QUOTE A remake of the (in)famous Sinclair Spectrum Football Manager game, complete with stick-man graphics. This is reverse engineered, so it should play identically.
