he may need to download directly to his drive or redownload from another location. Could be corrupted.

I just flashed the trisoft rom back on. What it was doing was I would hit the globe to change a timezine, hit Pairs, then choose United States then Anchorage. When I hit anchorage it would go back to the timezones screen, without Anchorage selected, I could keep doing this all day. So I'd quit out of the program, then say about 30 seconds later the world map would pop back up! If I touched the screen it would go away. All without changeing the timezone.

Ohhh nooo.. here you led us on a wild goose chase...
Just kidding - I guess we learn by those silly mistakes. on my first Zaurus experience even I had done the same thing. Its not realy very intuitive to have the globe map by the side of Timezone selection drop-down. The Globe Map doesnt have any OK button - so that means you can't set timezone thru the globemap. |

I just don't understand why it didn't work. That's how I've been doing it with the sharp rom on my 6000 and with the trisoft rom on the 3100. Oh well. Now I get to set up everything, again. I think in the past 3 days I've reflashed it 20 times.

I was able to reproduce this problem with anchorage, but not any other random few cities I tried. This might be only with anchorage. I even tried St. John's Newfoundland (one of those 30 minute off timezone's).

Never understood the 30 min off timezones... Hey quick question, what do I need to install to be able to ssh in from another computer? Right now I get a ssh: connect to host 192.168.2.60 port 22: Connection refused.

It's been a while since I've manually had to put one on a zaurus, but usually openssl and openssh go hand in hand.

check your inetd.conf. Usually people use inetd instead of running sshd as a daemon.
