Hi
I'm wondering how to go about converting pyfits so it will work with an ARM processor; I have a Collie with OZ 3.5.4.1 (Hentges) installed & the latest version of python for OZ. Pyfits can be found here: http://www.stsci.edu/resources/software_ha...pyfits/Download Could anyone point me in the right direction as to how to go about this process? Or, perhaps someone would be willing to do it? Thanks! |

Install OE and write a .bb file for it. I suspect it wouldn't be too hard if you do 'inherit distutils' inside the .bb |

Did I hear anything Python?
Ok. I have just added python-pyfits and python-pyraf to .dev. If you ask hrw in the upgrade thread nicely, he may compile it for the upgrades feed. |

QUOTE(Hrw @ May 23 2006, 03:17 PM) MANY thanks hrw - & apologies for responding sooo long after my initial request; I've just been too busy at work to give it a look I've dnloaded pyfits & ptkinter too & will try as soon as I get a moment. I don't suppose you could knock up pyephem too, (please!): http://www.rhodesmill.org/brandon/projects/pyephem.html ? I'm just RTFM'ing how to set up a development environemnt so I can start rolling my own ipks, but not sure if I'll succeed in digging out the time needed to do it. Thanks again, zedkatuf. |
