Hi I've bought an AV 500 for recording from a 16 by 9 camera system but when played back the pictures have about 10% of the headroon cut off, i.e. are not true 16 by 9 This also happens when you play out to a tv Am I doing something daft, or is this the way archos have made the device to suit the TFT screen which seems a little wider than it should be. Well,
with no word from anyone to convince me otherwise, I've decided that the potential upshot from owning one of these 604s is trumped by the risk of having a premature and unsupported product from an unresponsive company. I don't have the budget to just try it and see what I get. I do ultimately want to have a widescreen format player, but I think I'll just wait until the market settles down and the true winners emerge. Oh well...... ![]() |
