Hi I've bought an AV 500 for recording from a 16 by 9 camera system but when played back the pictures have about 10% of the headroon cut off, i.e. are not true 16 by 9 This also happens when you play out to a tv Am I doing something daft, or is this the way archos have made the device to suit the TFT screen which seems a little wider than it should be. Hi all,
I've been contemplating an AV604 for a while now for use as a video player. This thread has commanded my attention. I thought until now that this was a great product. I don't have a 16:9 camera, so I'm left to wonder: is this goofy display-cropping problem going to occur if one were to view commercial widescreen format movies or is this some weird interaction with the cameras? Any thoughts? It does seem that Archos has distinguished itself with dreadful disregard for their customers. It's a shame that creative people can have their work besmirched by arrogant management. |
