New Install On Sl-c3200, PLANEX GW-CF11X failed Options

Good day everyone

i just installed openbsd on sl-c3200 (the easy way i'm using cacko 1.23 rom)

from the console i unmounted /dev/hda3 then start (fdisk /dev/hda) and deleted the FAT partition then i added 1GB FAT partition type [c], then the rest of the disk type [a6] OpenBSD

after that i mkfs.vfat the /dev/hd3 and mount it to /mnt/hda3 and switch to there and grabed all the packages of the snapshot (base39.tgz ..etc) using the wget ( i did that to use disk installation, i installed the openbsd ipk on cacko and just followed the installation proccess

my problem now when i plug my wireless card it gives me this error

any idea guys what todo now? do i have to install the wireless driver (Hostap) or firmware? if so where to get it from? the GW-CF11X card has prism3 chipset, and yeah by the way since i'm new to openBSD where to tweak make file? i mean the compiler option to use xscale insted of arm optimization

There is no prism3 firmware download built into OpenBSD at the moment, it is feasible to write such a thing, however, the safest bet is to install firmware onto the cards flash. - From what you have told me it sounds like the card may not be carrying any firmware other than the most rudimentary host-driver bootstrap that it uses to pull down the prism3 firmware from the host.

As mentioned winupdate allows you to program a new firmware and if you follow the instructions on that site it should allow you to download a real firmware image to the card.

well, i'll see how to flash it, i have a thinkpad x32 with CF slot but running gentoo :/ i'll try to run [WinPE] liveCD if its not working with the update software i'll enjoy eBay to do some shopping

but there is something similare here to other card that supported by openBSD and it has the same vendor ID 0x0010 the IO-DATA WN-B11/CFZ, almost identical to the planex card prism3 and no firmware where is the PLANEX GW-CF11X has Primary Firmware v1.1.2 and Station v1.8.2.

ah yes, I see the ELSA vendor tag in the I-O Data section now. It is more obvious how the card is being recognised now.
