Hi,
I was wondering if it was possible to program something similar to the hibernate command for Linux computers. hibernate saves the state of RAM and stores it on the swap partition AFAIK. In any case, when the computer is awoken from this hibernate state it boots up, recognizes the hibernate file being present and restores the session. This makes it possible for example to hibernate a laptop, switch the battery and turn it back on without loosing any work (even stuff that is not saved). Shouldn't it be possible to have something similar for the Z? Hibernate is just a bash script on the desktop. Despite looking at it I was unable to find out exactly what command it is that invokes the hibernation and if that command is already present for the Z. Regards Rolf |
