I have zaurus 3100, in which I replaced microdrive with TRANSCEND CF 4GB.
Afrter this, even though qtopia, cacko and pdaxrom work well, I get the OZ logo and below it: "Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)" per HRW's answer to the question for the person who mentioned the same issue like the above, I noticed that Anyone who EXCHANGED internal microdrive with OTHER storage card NEED to provide 'cardctl ident' output to us so we could add it into ide-cs so kernel will know that yout 'umbaumba' cf card is ide. I'd like to know where and how I can get the cardctl ident and what the 'umbaumba' cf card means. And also, I'd like to know whether or not there is any one from 3000/3100/3200 users could install the CF card replacing microdrive and how he/she could do it specifically. Thank you for your kind answer in advance. |

You get the cardctl ident by opening a console window and typing "cardctl ident" into it
Hrw only means "weird card brand I haven't seen yet" when he says "umbaumba" |

QUOTE(pelrun @ Jan 16 2007, 10:18 PM) You get the cardctl ident by opening a console window and typing "cardctl ident" into it Hrw only means "weird card brand I haven't seen yet" when he says "umbaumba" When typing 'cardctl ident', it says that card is mounted on the socket number 1. I'm wondering if the cardctl ident verifies only whether or not the card is insterted. I'd like to know whether or not OZ(spitz) can be installed when the microdrive is replaced with TRANSCEND CF 4GB. And if it can be so, I also would like to know how to install OZ(spitz) in detail. And also, I'd like to know how to make partitions after installation because It shows that it 'could not create directory', even though I followed the below instruction. Partitioning CODE First 1 ~ +150M Second [hit enter] ~ +40M Third [hit enter] ~ Enter Thanks for your kind reply again in advance. |

QUOTE(koen @ Jan 19 2007, 06:48 AM) QUOTE(inshune @ Jan 19 2007, 02:02 PM) It can be installed after you post the complete output of 'cardctl ident' and 'cardctl info'. I have the same problem and here's the info from 'cardctl ident' Socket 1: product info: "KINGSTON", "CF8GB", "" manfid: 0x000a, 0x0000 function: 4 (fixed disk) Do I simply post it here or I have to post it elsewhere? |
