hi

as no bluetooth dialup can be established with the present Zaurus OpenBSD 4.1, i'm planning to try a ppp dialup via my nokia dku usb cable ...
has someone any experience about it?

QUICK HOWTO:

Hardware:

Nokia 6630
Nokia DKU-2 USB cable

1- plug the usb host adapter to the zaurus
(i got an error message about port 2 but it seems to work out of the box)

2- plug the Nokia DKU-2 cable

3- plug the Nokia to the DKU2 cable
you'll have some messages about umodem0 and ucom0 at umodem0, meaning the nokia modem is detected (out of the box!)

4- have your favourite /etc/peers/provider created
on mine, i had to comment "usepeerdns" and some other options not recognized by openbsd pppd...
anyway first line should be /dev/ttyU0
in my case, i had to manually enter my provider 's dns address in /etc/resolv.conf

5- create the ppp0 device with : ifconfig ppp0 create
it seems i have to do that on every reboot

6- then pppd call provider will launch the connection!

and tail /var/log/messages to see when your IP address is successfully set!
