As usual, life's been busy as usual for me since my move down to Texas. New job, new house blah blah excuses whatever who cares. Anyway, I'm trying to set aside a couple days to just fix everything that's broken on this site. I'm shooting for this weekend, but please don't shoot me if I can't.
I am aware of the attachments issue. Is there anything else? Anything you guys want added? Give me a nice laundry list of stuff to do and order it by priority. Things to note: - I don't have access to the old stuff, Mike does. This means that any missing files are out of my reach. - The site might be down at times if I need to replace something. Expect outages. - I would love to upgrade to the latest IPB, but I need to find the files and I dont have access to our customer portal. I'll do my best on that end. - Texas is much hotter than back home. |

Including the Cacko links! 3: restoring the feed? 4: restoring zaurusthemes? All are to do with the ZUG page. 1 and 3 are now sorted, thank you admins. 4: A 'mirror'/'new' themes site is available. Would it be much of a job to substitute a link to the 'mirror' site? The old link is www.zaurusthemes.org, the new link is www.zaurusthemes.biz 2: Requests for software in the download area are still appearing in the forum on a regular basis. Is the restoration of this area on the way? I hope so. As regards the cacko links there are now mirrors. Would links to those mirrors be an alternative? And of course the attachment problems...... From your comment about the 'old stuff' I suppose some of this might be out of your hands? If so, please pass on the request to the appropriate party. As regards the ZUG downloads: I was pointed to an old thread that said these files would be going to be provided through ELSIX. They aren't there. So I presume this was not done. A lot of the ZUG download files are very hard to find elsewhere. The ZSI, ELSIX etc link to the ZUG downloads... Anton Maslovsky's Cacko files were available on OESF. They are missing in action from here. Other sites are now mirroring them, but surely they should be available here? Cheers |

For me personally, the top two issues that i feel need to be address asap are: 1) The attachments since workarounds are really kludgy (download the php file and rename it or view the images under IE6 only 2) Rebuild the Cacko ROM and source code downloads using these links. Cacko ROMs Cacko Source That way only the Kino2 package and source links would remain broken. The best way to fix this, of course, is to work with Maslovsky but, he hasn't logged in the forum in almost 2 months. |

Noone's stepped up to bat wanting to maintain it and take over the code, so it's just hanging out right now. I would say a light shade green. What we would still be missing is the Cross tools to build Cacko 1.23 2.4.20 kernel, the 1.21 and 1.22 ROMs and hotfixes, the 1.22 japanese kernel and the kernel sources for 1.21 and 1.22. Most people are looking for the latest anyway (1.23) so we would have that covered which would probably cover 90% of the complaints on this one. The biggest loss would be the 1.23 Cross Tools to roll your own 1.23 kernel. |

Doesn't any of the "roll your own" kernel source stuff get put in the public repositories?
You might post a query/notice in the developer's lounge at IRC. I'm not savvy enough to be able to write an appropriate query. sdjf |

Just as an update, I obviously haven't been able to fix the attachments things yet. We have an idea of what it is, but I'd need to download the latest version of IPB and I dont have access to the customer portal, Mike does.
I'll let ya know of my progress. |

So far I've been a failure, haha. I haven't been able to fix the attachments thing, but I'm working on getting the latest version of IPB. Once we upgrade to that it should fix the attachments thing.
Once that's fixed, I'll move onto the rest. |

can I propose deleting all inactive logins - those who've made less than 10 posts AND not within the last 365 days?
