Hi,
i just got a SL-5500G from ebay and got a DCF 660W too. My W-LAN is WPA encrypted. Which ROM do i have to install to use WPA? BTW: I tried to install Sharp ROM 3.13, but i only found a 3.10 Ospack File. The file CD-v313.zip doesn't contain an Ospack file. schwabi |

I think most ROMs support WPA. Angstrom, Sharp, and Cacko (?) are probably the ones to look at, as those seem to be the most oft used on the 5500, or maybe one of the custom 5500 ROMs floating around.
pdaXrom supports WPA and the 5500 (in at least one release), but you may want to stay away from the apparently difficult install procedure necessary to get it on the 5500. There is a guide, if that interests you. Now for the OT question: What is a 5500g? I've never heard of any 5500 other than the plain 5500? Can anybody shed some light on this? Anyway, hope this helps. |

the 'g' is for german, it has a qwertz keyboard layout. There's also an 'd' version which stands for developer and only has 32MB of ram instead of 64MB.

Ah. Thanks for clearing that up. I had thought that the only "letter" models were the 5000D and the 6000w/l/n.

Hi, I appreciate it if you let us know if you get WPA working and how you did it. Rich http://www.oesf.org/forums/style_images/1/...icons/icon6.gif |
