I don't know what the latest word on SDHC with the 2.6.x kernels is, but having an SD card that large in a Z would be awesome. |

SDHC is same physical spec as SD, except the addressing scheme is blocks and not bytes AIUI.
The Z uses, if I'm correct, the SD in MMC compatibility mode, so it doesn't use the full width of the interface to the card. Read speed on the Z probably reached theoretical maximum 2 years ago when the 10x SD cards were on sale? Write speed probably maxed out not long after. I too would welcome SDHC and a nice big 8 or 16G card for my Z - at the very least I could read the memory card from my digital camera! |
