Has anyone seen the new ASUS EEE-PC yet?
It's a light laptop using a 16 gig flash instead of a spinning disk hard drive and it comes with Linux installed. CPU is supposedly a Pentium M. This is an outgrowth of Intel's design response to the One Laptop Per Child project because OLPC has designed their system around an ADM chip. Interestingly, the OLPC XO will come on the market in November with a Give One, Get One program. http://www.xogiving.org/ |
