Hello

Quite nice gadget ... You can have it for cca 800 USD without OS. It runs DOS, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux ...
Not definnitelly a Z replacement but worth to look at it

Perhaps it is an OEM?
I've seen this before in UMPC Portal: http://www.umpcportal.com/products/product.php?id=100
And it's called Gigabyte U60.

It is an extensive review. What would you like to know?

In short, as far as Linux (Slackware Kill Bill) is concerned, sound, touchscreen and WiFi did not work, but the OS started and basically worked (drivers).
Win98 - a naive attempt to install, but a complete failure as a result (lame user?)
WinXP - after problems, even WiFi worked... Standard experience.
Battery test: 3.5 hours, playing movie from network via WiFi, 1.5-2.3 hours

Conclusion:
+ performance
+ price
+ price/performance ratio
+ battery
+ extensibility
- too hot under CPU load
- small (height) resolution of the display
- poor interpolation by higher screen resolutions

With all due respect, if it's not utilizing sound, wifi or the touchscreen, it really isn't useful to say it "runs Linux" (or DOS, for that matter). It may boot up Linux, but is pretty useless without the hardware.

It is not that the gadget is a problem. The reviewer admits he is a lame Linux user and even though somewhere should be drivers for the HW, he did not bother. He refers only to what worked out of the box. Nothing more...
