help to the guys who can build kernel :

we need to build the FUSE module to be able to use gmailfs.

can someone do that please?

by the way, are the 2.6.23 kernel sources on kernel.org the same for all architectures ?

well,
i've grabbed linux-2.6.23.tgz from kernel.org

then make menuconfig,
enabled "load modules"
set fuse to compile as a module
then make modules : it seems to do the job
then make modules install : running now (but damn slow!!)

i'll let you know it that works smile.gif

lol
i typed "make modules install" instead of "make module_install" ! so all modules were being compiled ! someone could have warn me no ? smile.gif now my filesystem is full sad.gif
deleting some files at now ... smile.gif

bad news :
after make modules_install and depmod -a, i tried to modprobe fuse :

FATAL: Error inserting fuse : Invalid module format

.......

any help please??

Hello, i have a zaurus 3100, i would like to use gmailfs. My kernel is 2.6.20. What should i do to use it (on my xubuntu laptop it is ok but with the zaurus i'm lost). Thanks

apparently fuse can be used by flickrfs too.
but why is fuse not included as a module in angstrom kernel ? i'll open a bug report smile.gif
