looks like it'll be a linux software suite, I guess with a standard set of base apps.
coverage here: at the BBC Engadget: coverage of announcement press release/ Android itself: developers - can't download anything yet very interesting... so, who will be first to have a proper Google linux smartphone - I reckon Motorola because they've already had a few models out which are linux based (using QT as their graphical toolkit), or will OpenMoko produce a usable release first? Will OpenMoko be googlephone compatible? the future will be quite interesting! I've not see |

Follow http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/building-angstrom and put ANGSTROM_PKG_FORMAT = "deb" in your local.conf and you will have an angstrom rootfs with apt, dpkg and .deb packages. Easy as that. |
