Hi,
I thought it would be nice to have a centralized list of wifi cards supported by OpenZaurus/Angstrom on the Zauri. I couldn't find one on the forum so I decided to ask you guys for it. I've been looking around on the internet to buy one, but there is little information on what chipsets they use and most shopkeepers never even heard of Linux, let alone a Zaurus. I thought people could post their experience with certain wifi cards here. Which chipset is in which card, how well they tend to work on your device. You can also post non-working cards, that information is also useful for people that are looking to buy one. When posting, it would be nice if you included:
If there already is a list like this, please let me know. |

I don't use OpenZaurus/Angstrom, but have an Ambicom WL1100C card that works in Cacko and pdaxii13/pdaxrom beta3 (C3100 and C3200)
It uses prism 2.5 chipset with firmware 1.8.0. It also works with WPA (I think firmware needs to be 1.8.0 or later for WPA) Check here for Zaurus compatible cards. This list shows the chipsets. http://www.oesf.org/index.php?title=Wireless_Card_Support |
