How Do We Compile Arm Kernel From Source Code For Zaurus Sl-c1000 ?, where do we get the source code to compile kernel for ARM CPU's ? Options

I would like someone to show/point to me where we can get kernel source code for to use with the
Sharp Zaurus.

I already know about kernel.org, it appears thats our starting point ? BUT, that code is
for 8086 Machines not ARM.

so, how do we modify x86 source code for use with ARM computers ?

I really want to learn how to modify x86 kernel source code namely the 2.4.20 kernel source code,
and modify it for the Intel XScale ARM CPU in my Sharp Zaurus SL-C1000.

Then I would like to on-board the Zaurus compile the code down to a 'zImage' file, install it,
then run my new kernel.

I have a good idea on how to add device drivers to a kernel, but, first, we need to have
compiled and installed our kernel from source, then that source is also used in building
other device drivers. everything hangs on knowing how to setup the source code for ARM.

If anyone has detailed howtos on this specific model, I am ready and eager to learn.

Well. the kernel.org stuff is source, so it WILL run on the Z, but not how you'd want it to run. You need the special sources. I think they're available on somebody's website, but I can't remember who's it is (I assume you're still talking about the 2.4.20 kernel from Cacko?).

Also know that compiling it may be an interesting experience.

didnt mean to upset you or cause you anguish, I have tried veryhard
to understand that thread, but have found it hard going.

generated for kernel 2.4.20 from ASPj rt73 driver source code.
if anyone here has got that module on their Z, I will pay a great
deaal of money via paypal for it, and I am not joking either,
this is just a simple request, is it so hard to fulfill ?
