Hello. I have a damaged Zaurus. It will not enter any pre boot menu. Trust me on this one. It is totally impossible to use any key combo, prayer or mantra to get this sick f*cker to heal.
I have removed the 4g cf hard drive and put it in a OpenBSD laptop with the hopes I can maybe use dd or something to get the hd in a cool state where I can boot without using any pre boot menu. I really really need this Z. (My crappy job does not allow laptops, and I can feel my brain atrophy from lack of OpenBSD at my fingertips. without this Z my day to day life at work bites serious, hardcore BORING ass. Do you think, if I can get someone to dd their working hd I could dd it onto the disk, boot and be on my merry merry way? I'm really reaching here. Here is some info from the OpenBSD laptop with the zaurus hd inserted: ### from dmesg ### wdc2 at pcmcia0 function 0 "HITACHI, microdrive" port 0xa000/16 wd1 at wdc2 channel 0 drive 0: <HMS360404D5CF00> wd1: 32-sector PIO, LBA, 3906MB, 7999488 sectors wd1(wdc2:0:0): using BIOS timings ### from disklabel wd1 ### # Inside MBR partition 3: type A6 start 63 size 7999425 # /dev/rwd1c: type: ESDI disk: ESDI/IDE disk label: HMS360404D5CF00 flags: bytes/sector: 512 sectors/track: 63 tracks/cylinder: 16 sectors/cylinder: 1008 cylinders: 7936 total sectors: 7999488 rpm: 3600 interleave: 1 trackskew: 0 cylinderskew: 0 headswitch: 0 # microseconds track-to-track seek: 0 # microseconds drivedata: 0 16 partitions: # size offset fstype [fsize bsize cpg] c: 7999488 0 unused 0 0 |
