Can anyone direct me to the latest version of Ångström (2008 or 2009)? I currently have 2007.12, but the packages from the feed browser are old for this release. I use to download images from http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/unsta...utobuild/akita/ but there are no builds there anymore. How would I use the 2008.x packages?
My searching did find this site for building images (http://amethyst.openembedded.net/~koen/narcissus/), but I am looking for Opie. I found it works well for a simpler interface and Cacko is a little dated. Maybe I should learn how to compile an image for my C1000. Will search for some instructions, but if anyone can direct me quicker it would be appreciated. Thank you |

Thanks guys. Checked out the Wiki and I am going to try to set up a build environment. The applications list has enough to make the attempt worth it. I will let you know how things come along. I am not a programmer so I have a lot of learning to do.

Their application list always looks impressive but it has been my experience that most of it is badly broken that combined with the attitude of certain members has completely soured me on the distro. I wish you the best of luck based on my experience; you are going to need it. |
