Can I use a 16GB (or larger) MicroSDHC card with the Zaurus C860? I was planning on sticking the MicroSDHC card into an adapter (something like this)that changes MicroSD->SD, and plugging the adapter into the Zaurus. Assuming my Z has an up-to-date (2.6?) kernel and distro, should the MicroSDHC work?
Though I'd like to upgrade my Z and keep it running as long as possible, I also want accessories I buy to be compatible with future devices, and newer devices tend to use MicroSDHC. Thanks for any advice |

SDHC support is included in all recent versions of linux-2.6. MicroSD->SD is just a mechanical tool.
But don't expect high transfer speeds on. The Zaurus hardware is limited to about 1.8MB/s. To run writes as fast as possible, don't forget to verify that the SD card is mounted with "async" or "flush" mount option. |
