If you posted it last night, I would guess that it was due to the move. I couldn't seem to get anything posted either.

I think it was an accident of the new conversion and testing. See this: http://www.oesf.org/forums/inde...indpost&p=32464 See ORG post nearer the bottom. Posted Jun 22 2004, 02:52 PM |

joshp - it definitely wasn't intentional. as slocaus pointed out... see the other thread.
I'm not touching the converter anymore, so as to not loose any more data. Regarding the front page of the zug not having the new posts block, I would recommend getting used to the "View New Posts" funtionality (top right corner of the page). I think you'll find that this forum software will keep track of what posts are new based on your last log in much better than the old forum we had. |

If the feature shows the last 10 new posts and there were actually 20 since you last visitied, don't you miss 10? If you use the "View New Posts" feature, you will not miss any. Just a thought... ~ray |

Just a thought... ~ray you're absolutely right... and that's why I didn't really like the recent posts block on the main page... it only showed the last 10 (or 15 I think) posts, based on that moment in time. So sometimes I wouldn't be able to check the zug forums for the whole day while at work, if I checked the recent posts block... I wouldn't get the true picture of all the activity since I had last logged in. |

Sometimes at work I'm in a REAL hurry & so don't have tome to log in. Is there any way to check ALL posts for the past (day - week - month), like the kludge of using the "*" wildcard in the old search (wildcards do not appear to work here, nor do search terms that the system considers "common" words or that are less than 4 or 5 chars!).
I find that often I have missed post topics on the first hurried pass, and the option to view ALL posts within a time range at leasure has been invaluable. Suggestions? Thanks! |

Scroll to the bottom of the forum index page and click the 'Today's Active Topics' link. You can adjust the time it actually searches. |

I had just taken the time to quick browse the HELP pages, discovered this neat feature then returned to this topic to retract that part of my comment. But you beat me there (G)! OK! |
