I have OS X panther and I installed fink so that i can get plucker working and I noticed that every time one apt-gets anything the damn OS X starts to prelink (prebind in Mac-lingo) everything! This is disk/cpu intensive and takes forever. Is there some way to manually take control of OS X prelinking? i.e. just do it once in a while when a big bunch of libs/apps have changed?
P.S. i just noticed that there is a native version of plucker for OS X. Nevertheless, fink is mighty cool and I'd like to be able to install X11 stuff w/o this annoyance. |
