Hi all together,
I bought a C860 and fixed all the menuals to english with a backup from a company, which sells the Zaurus. Unfortunately I cannot use Wadoku the way I like to: I can not write any Katakana or Hiragana. Kanji-Nirvana on the other hand works quite well. I also do not find any setting-manual like font-setting (after this backup). Do you know what to do? I even tried to make a complete restore to the delivery settings (push the ok-button while pushing power on). In the following menual I chose the 3 option, but it does not work. By the way: on the japanese manual I did not find any terminal window. I think, I need this, if I like to fix my C860 with these scripts. Thank u very much, Uli |

Well, I guess the company (which one? Trisoft?) stripped all Japanese support from their ROM. The scripts won't bring that back...
The terminal program should be on the CD that is shipped with the Z. You could also try http://www.nautilus6.org/operation/downloa...1.5.0-3_arm.ipk There are several other terminal programs available http://killefiz.de/zaurus/ I personally think that the original Sharp ROM has the best support for the language, most notably the CRIM (the Kanji input method). But you might have to reflash your system... |

Instead of reflashing, you can try installing the Japanese support/dict ipk files that somebody put together from the original Sharp ROM. These files were mentioned (again) in a recent thread:
