Ok, so as I'm making the new ZSI, I was wondering if everyone is ok with the ZSI name or if we should maybe make a new one?
zsi.org is taken. I'm assuming we can still get zaurussoftwareindex.org, but that's rather long. Any other ideas for a name/domain? |

QUOTE(dz @ Sep 22 2004, 07:05 PM) Ok, so what you guys are proposing is to have a site that's much more than just a ZSI. You want a site that's a repository for all things embedded? That's interesting, and definately possible. Would I need to ask what kind of PDA a certain software is made for than when you enter it into the DB, or does that not matter as long as you're using the same os? dz yo might want to do a sub categories then something like: manufacturer -> sub model sharp -> Select models (SL-6000, CL-3000) HP -> H6300 Yopy - YP3700 Simpad - xxxx So peoples could select in search 'I want apps for HP devices, for familiar' 'I want apps for CL-3000 for openzaurus' 'I want apps for SL-5000 for Sharp Rom and cacko ROM' Well soemthing like that I guess, except if someone see better than the 'manufacturer'. For the domain name i dont know, I like vault (ZVault that someone said). Maybe thats could be like EVault (sure is taken) or LEVault (Linux Embedded Vault). LESoft.org. LHEsoft, LHEVault whatver is not 'bad' |
