How do I run a command-line shell in the SL-C3000? A lot of instructions (for changing the menus to English) and downloading the Java runtime, assume this.

Right now, I can only see the "My Zauraus" directory, with Book_Files, Image_Files, etc.

How do I get to the /home directory, for example?

Sorry for all the basic questions!

You'll probably have to install a shell from the CD (look for a file like *terminal*.ipk) or you can get something similar off the web. That's how the 860 works, anyway.

Exactly, just run "terminal" from the menu on the C3000.

Have a look at conics.net down at the bottom of the page for tips on japanese-english conversion.

To get home, "cd" will take you to home. Use google to search for the basic unix commands.
