Hey everyone,
I've not been using my C3200 for ages, but recently decided to get "interested" again, so... I still cannot make-up my mind as to which ROM suits me best, so went round the "loop" of checking-out the latest and greatest stuff. While doing this I tried the latest Angstrom (5th May) and Hentges 1.0.0 (11th Nov 2006) both OPIE and GPE. Now, with both Angstrom and Gentges GPE, I can configure my Pretec Wifi CF, with WEP and a non-broadcastable SSID and it works first time and reliably. However with Hentges OPIE it will never work - the card's led continues to flash, and dmesg reports: CODE eth0: New link status: Association Failed (0006) Wellenreiter with OPIE works perfectly, the cards led stays constantly on, and all neighbouring wi-fi hubs are detected. Once I exit Wellenreiter, the problem begins again. lsmod snippet shows: CODE hostap_cs 55156 0 hostap 111108 1 hostap_cs ieee80211_crypt 5088 1 hostap orinoco_cs 12260 1 orinoco 39988 1 orinoco_cs hermes 6368 2 orinoco_cs,orinoco Does this have something to do with WEP/SSID; I have limited experience on how to debug this problem - any suggestion are really appreciated. Hi everyone,
I'm still on my "Must try-out all ROMs" cycle, now onto GPE . . . I'm interested in trying-out different Window Managers for GPE, so I installed (as root) IceWM and Fluxbox (ipkg install icewm;ipkg install fluxbox), and then created .xinitrc and .xsession and put in both files: CODE exec fluxbox However when I logout and then back in (as root) matchbox is still running. I also tried "exec icewm" with the same results. icewm and fluxbox are definitely installed since if I try running from the root console I get errors (correctly) stating that another WM is running. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Having successfully got Shoutcast streaming audio to work on OZ/OPIE (not a big deal when you know how
Can I stream TV from the internet to my C1000 directly? What software do I need, and what Web sites provide links? I'm struggling to work it out, so as much as detail as possible please. Sorry for the newbie questions, never tried this before - obviously on windows there's media player etc. already available, so I've never come across setting this up by hand before. Thanks.

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know how I can get streaming web radio working on my C1000 under OPIE? Are there any applications available? Or in fact on Cacko, GPE etc... I tried a free demo of zRadio, but it won't install ("Package zradio has no Architecture defined"). Regards

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to get Intellisync working between XP and my C1000 using 3.5.4.1-rc4 OZ/OPIE with KO/PI, and the supplied USB cable, however wheneven I try to "sync" or "file transfer" from the PC with intellisync, nothing happens, except that intellisync times-out. I know the PC set-up works (for Cacko at least) since I re-installed Cacko and it worked straight-away, using "PC Link" under "Settings". I then re-installed OZ/OPIE and I cannot sync or transfer files. I don't see anything equivalent under OZ/OPIE - have I missed something out, do I need to install or do anything extra? I specifically want USB I/O to work since I'm trying to set the C1000 so that it can be used at work as well as home. Any ideas greatly appreciated... Thanks |
