Uhm... every time i'm thinking more and more about getting one. I have resisted for a year, but I can feel some weakness inside of me and I may fall into buying one.
Are you also tempted to get one and definitely get rid of your Zaurus?

Hey, take a look at this Sharp device !
Specs: At just 470g and with a size of 84x188x25.9mm, here's a stunning device running 1GB of RAM, 40GB of HDD, a Centrino Atom Z520 (1.33GHz), 5” touch screen (1024x600) LCD with LED Backlight, a full keyboard with PHS support, as well as Wifi B/G and Bluetooth 2.0 EDR. Our D4 also has a 2Mpix video camera and runs Windows Vista Home Premium. http://www.akihabaranews.com/en/news-15825...wered+UMPC.html

I'm thinking about the new HTc TyTn II; I know, it's windows mobile 6, but it has all the hardware you can need: gsm/3G, wifi, gps, bt2.0, keyboard, touchscreen, sdhc, 128MB RAM, and there's plenty of software like putty, ....
Does anyone have experience on this unit? I know its windows, I'm windows-free anywhere, but really until the android platform tuns on this beast, this machine is really a powerhorse.

Hi, I have a friend developing a new project and we have come up with a name which we'd like to receive feedback as how it sounds in different languages.
We'd appreciate if you can post here with your language and what/how it sounds like, and whether it means/resembles anything. The name is 'chere'. We are specially looking for feedback from north-European and Asian languages. Many thanks.

It seems that Intel is developing the second wave of UMPC, and splitting those in two product lines:
- ultra small 5'', <1000USD, linux powered - small 7'', ~1200USD, vista powered News seem to appear later today, so stay tuned. http://www.zdnet.com.au/news/hardware/soa/...39274887,00.htm http://www.umpcportal.com/modules/news/art...php?storyid=484 |
