Articulillos En Linux Magazine

Hola gente : )

Soy Alberto Planas y he estado escribindo un par de artículos para la nueva revista Linux Magazine sobre las Zaurus. En el de este mes se habla de la 5500 usada para auditar redes wireless y en la siguiente se usa una c860 para explicar los problemas del sistema de encriptación WEP. Tengo pensado un tercer artículo donde hablar de los tipos de ROMs y de sus entornos de desarrollo.

Soy un fanático de estas PDAs sobre todo debido a su versatilidad, a la cantidad de cosas que puedo hacer y aprender usando estos cacharros. Es aaaalucinante. Si bien es cierto que no hay una comunidad de usuarios de las Zaurus en España (al menos ninguna de más de dos miembros) estoy viendo que pueden producirse cambios a ese respecto: gracias mimecar.

Mi petición es por tanto ¿qué temas os gustaría que se trataran de la Z? A mi me encanta, p.ej, el sistema bitbake de openzaurus. Se parece mucho a Gentoo y me apetecería hablar de él en el siguiente artículo. Quizas podría comentar la cantidad de soft que hay para la Z (juegos, para leer libros, programación, PIM, ...) o aplicaciones curiosas de esta PDA : D

ZEditor 2.1.5 in English

ZEditor 2.1.5 (http://www.aa.alpha-net.ne.jp/satoshic/dw_zedit.htm) is a simple and very useful editor, but it is in Japanese. The last translated version was 1.3.5.

I try to translate this version to english using simple logic & old source code (but no idea of Japanese lenguage, sorry)

I upload the file in the Download Area of this site (pending for review?). It is a tgz file with the modified source code and a zeditor strip binary file. You can install the original 2.1.5 ipk and change the zeditor executable file with this one.

Now I'm trying to improve the systax highligh system to create decents CPP files : )

c860 service menu?

I try access to the service menu of my c860 following this instructions (http://downloads.conics.net/pda/zaurus-sl-c700/service-menus/) but don't work. The wellcome screen is viewed and the OS is loaded : (. Are there another key combination to access the service menu?

I'm using cacko/Qtopia rom

edit: Oh, I forgot one thing. I can access the flash menu (OK+Powerd)

kismet 3.0.1

I compile Kismet 3.0.1 for Zaurus. Where can I upload the IPKG for share?

I know that comunity site is down, but I'm looking for zgcc 2.0 release. It is the gcc-2.95.2 for Zaurus. Are there any mirror of this project?
