Just saw this list message in the Zaurus Synchronization Repository project on sourceforge:

"Someone has offered to donate an OS X box to the project which will be great when we get it. This will allow us to support OS X and provide the project as a cross-platform solution. The goal will be to eventually make it cross-platform between Linux, Mac OS X, Cygwin, and eventually Windows."

It's open source, so, if you have the time and skills, help this guy out.

I was trying to install TimeSleuth 1.04 on my SL-5500 with 3.10 ROM. The package never shows up in the installer. I can tap on the package and it will open the Package Installer application, but TimeSleuth is never listed. Is there any way for me to get this to work?

I was under the impression that Apple might start to release some developer's info for iSync as the new Xcode and Tiger get close to release. Was there any news announced on this at the developer's conference?

The only thing I've seen on the Apple site was at the bottom of the page for .mac Sync: "System-wide availability of sync services means that developers can now easily incorporate syncing capabilities into their applications. Tiger’s sync engine is extendable, so developers can go beyond synchronizing calendars, bookmarks and contact lists." I hope this isn't just extendable for .mac, but for adding new devices to iSync.

I seem to have fairly consistent problems with the USB locking up on my Mac. It used to happen infrequently on my Mac no matter what I had plugged in (usually coming out of suspend/sleep on the Mac), but the Mac OS X 10.3.3 update seemed to fix that. Now, it only seems to happen when I have my Zaurus plugged into it.

I'm using the driver here:

Has anyone else experienced this?

If there was even just a simple way to reset the USB bus when it happened, I wouldn't mind that much, but it's not. I'll plug and unplug cables, kill the power for and repower my hub, etc. Eventually, meaning after about an hour, it usually comes back.

Since Sharp now seems to focusing on enterprise markets, I was wondering if they've made any improvements security-wise on the new SL-6000. Seems to me that I can't go anywhere without places requiring at least SSL to connect to mail servers and LEAP or Cisco VPN to get on wireless networks. Is Sharp including any of this on the 6000?

I know there are some 3rd party solutions for some of these things, but I don't see how they can sell to enterprise markets without having some of this included by default.
