Modifying Zaurus Cradle

Greetings,

I seem to recall that there is a possibility to modify the cradle for the 5500 to also charge the zaurus on the USB connector only. Can anyone verify this? If so, I could use directions to the appropriate website, I cannot seem to find it.

Hallo,

Ik heb zelf wat stekkers besteld voor de seriele poort onderop de SL5500, en heb daar een USB kabel voor gemaakt. Deze doet het prima, en laad ook mijn Z op, maar ik heb er 1 probleempje mee. Ik kan het scherm niet aanzetten als de kabel in een PC poort zit.

Kent iemand dit probleem?

Hier nog een Zaurus gebruiker, al een tijdje, maar ach.
Ik ben een blije bezitter van een 5500. (Rom 3.10)

Zijn er hier nog meer mensen met een 5500?
Zo ja, iemand ervaring met:

Bluetooth
Installeren van een andere ROM

OZ or not OZ

Greetings all,

I am currently running the Sharp US rom version 3.10, and I've been thinking to switch over to OZ. (I have a SL-5500D, with 128mb sd and 64mb cf). Currently I am using the IR port and my nokia 6310i to recieve my e-mail. I am a bit reluctant to switch to OZ, because my Z is the only working computer I have at the moment. (My wife occasionally allows me to use my cradle USB on her computer to store some files to/from my Z :wink: ). So my question actually boils down to:

Why not switch to OZ?
