I have had my SL-C760 for about 3 years now. The other day, I turned it on and the display appears to be dead. It displays a solid white screen. It still works, and I can launch programs blind by using the keylauncher commands, and it does still beep when I use the stylus. It appears as if something hardware-related broke rendering the display inoperable.
I have tried everything, including trying to call up the diagnostics menu, but even the diagnostics screen appears as all white with no text. If I could, I would try to re-flash it, but I'm not sure I can do this blind. Moreover, I think this is clearly a hardware (not software) malfunction. Does this mean my Zaurus is dead?

Is there any command issued from the console that will tell me the format of my SD and CF cards? I 'm wondering if my various cards are FAT, MS-DOS, or EXT2.
I was unable to find an answer to this question by searching the forums and google, so perhaps someone might enlighten me. Thanks!

A Japanese programmer has posted a Playstation 1 emulator for the Zaurus. You can download the file from here. Click on "ZAUUP". The file is called "PCSX for X/Qt". I have not tested this. In fact, I've never run X on my Zaurus, but I would be interested in hearing if others are able to get this to work and how fast it is. There doesn't appear to be much documentation.
P.S. I'm just the messenger, and not the programmer.

I have a JP Sharp ROM Zaurus SL-C760. In the file manager tab of Qtopia, which displays "My Zaurus", it lists the main memory, SD card, and CF card (all are displayed in Japanese since I am using the original ROM).
My problem is that in instead of displaying "CF Card" is now displays "Storage /dev/hda1". In addition, the pretty CF card icon has been replaced with the standard yellow folder icon. Everything works fine in terms of the files, but I want to fix the CF card name display and icon. Does anyone know where Qtopia stores this information? Any suggestions on how to fix this minor problem will be appreciated.

The following KnowledgeBase article from Apple explains how to tweak the Preferences in OS X from creating new .DS_Store files when opening folders on remote volumes mounted using SMB/CIFS, AFP, NFS, and WebDAV.
If you have not been bothered by .DS_Store files littered all over your Zaurus, then you need not bother with this fix.
