Cant Install Software

I cant install software. I've installed opie on my c3000 works pretty good, but I want a movie player and i've read that the best one so far is:
http://xmms-embedded.sourceforge.net/feed/oz32/
so i've added that to my to my servers and I get the following errors:

an error occured, return value 4.
loading con file /etc/pkg.conf
cannt find package zlib1g
check the spelling or perhaps run 'ipkg update'

I've looked and looked everthing looks good (spelling wise)

Qtrdesktop Howto

ok, what am I doing wrong? I've installed openssl_0.9.7d_arm.ipk and qtrkesktop_1.2.0_arm.ipk, and I have terminal services working on xp pro and when I type:

qtrdesktop 192.168.1.100

i get errors:
S1SharedManager: cant get proc entry
ERROR: connect: Connection timed out

any info on this would be greatly appreciated

Things I've Learned From A Bricked C3000

ok, I've learned some hard lessons:
1. dont play around with rom's when you really dont know what your doing.
2. when doing a nand restore make sure your cf/sd card is formated to 16 not 32 (this is what got me back on track)
3. read carefull the information you've colleted and understand it well
4. be patient

Ok I've messed up my new sl c3000. It's bricked and I Dont have the time to mess with it. Will to sell or trade for a psp or hp pocketpc . Someone who knows linux better than I will have no problem with this, but Im tired of messing with it.
