Voice Record On C1000?

hello everyone,

bought a really nice miniaturized microphone for my C1000, to use in Voice recording meetings, but forgot a tiny detail: software! isn't there something out there to just record what the mic is getting? something maybe using speex as codec or the other low bitrate codecs?

I think there was tkcVoc for older models.. any clue if it will work under C1000?
what are you people using to record meetings or lectures?

Frustrating C1000 Flashing Problem

EDIT: current problem:

trying again for about 10 times, and Im really pissed. here is what I get, no matter if I use an empty Dane-Elec CF 512Mb or an empty Kingston SD 1Gb.

After following the instructions I quoted above, here is how it goes:

hello all

I dloaded tetsu's special kernel for my c1k - files updater.sh and zImage on to my CF card, rebooted while holding down OK button, selected option 4 at the flash menu and confirmed by pressing Y,

waited for the process to finish, removed the battery when asked to reboot after process finished - and here I am

mplayer-iwmmxt 1.5 installed OK and so did bvdd 0.4

however in Zplayer frontend it wont let me select the "enable iwmmxt extensions" button..

I was wondering if the Kernel installed OK. can anybody provide a way for me to check that v18a kernel is indeed installed in my C1000? is there a way to see it?

Easy Way To Transfer Files C1000 <-> Pc Over Usb?

Hello

Im trying to transfer some files over to my C1000 , as my card reader went to heaven yesterday, and I got no luck with the cd drivers or the C860 usb driver download - cant get it to work as a mass storage device

any simple ways to transfer some files?

ive also read through the pinned posts but still got no luck.

C1000 + Gprs Over Cell Phone Irda

Hello everyone,

Been trying this for the last couple of days and had no luck .. here is my setup:

-new SL-C1000 with standard rom, converted to english
-Siemens S55 mobile phone with latest firmware
-Vodafone Greece SIM card with GPRS Data Plan

the S55 with the Vodafone SIM card works ok when connecting via my Laptop, (dialing *99# to connect)

I've followed trisoft's instructions in german from their website but still no luck

apn is: internet.vodafone.gr .

The problem appears at the "Authenticating" stage, after "Initializing" and "Connecting" that are carried out quickly

Let me note here that with a normal data call to my dial-up isp works ok but slow of course..

any pointers? which are the init strings you people use with your cell phones?

I guess I will finally use the ambicom GPRS CF Adaptor to see if it works.. I think it would be less hassle! Has anyone got it working?
