There have been many rants and raves about the lack of documentation for OZ. I plan to put together a set of manuals for as many applications as possible. Not just a collection of tips/tricks/FAQs but a comprehensive manual on using the programs.

For this I will need volunteers. The first stage is to write quides for the most important/common applications. I welcome suggestions on which apps these are, aswell as volunteers to write documentation.

Ideall the document for an app will include:

Links to source, more info, etc

I have started a webpage at OZ Documentation Project

I can be contacted by e-mail (details on the link above). Let me know which apps you want to write about and I will update the details on the website.

PS Could the admin pin this post to the top of the forum please?

Despite libqte being installed, I still get dependency errors installing anything requiring it (eg Portabase). I searched on this forum and with google, and I only found a few comments where others have mentioned this. The only fix is I've seen is to remove -r20 and instal -r16 from 3.5.1

Is there no better way, surely the IPK in the initrd.bin can be removed and uploaded, or one generated from the OE files. I'm at home for Christmas and don't have access to a computer suitable for doing this. Could someone else shead some light on the issue?

I'm moving from 3.3.5 to 3.5.2, why has the recommended (OE wiki) method for putting system files on SD changed?

I use to copy /etc, /home and /root as well as the directory programs are install to onto my SD card. Now the instructions show how to move the whole filesystem to the SD card. I can't find the instructions for 3.3.5 and I wondered which directories I should move if I only want to transfer config files, home directories and the location of new programs.

Why would you recommend moving /bin, /sbin, /lib and so on.... to the SD card?
