I have two cf cards which I both use on my 5500.
The first one is a 128 MB cf card formatted with fat32.
The other card is a 512 MB cf card formatted with ext2.
The 128 MB card works well for me. Automount on reboot etc.
The 512 MB used to work well for me under OZ 3.3.5.
But under OZ 3.5.1 I seem to not be able to mount the card neither automatically nor manually. I tried ext2 and ext3 -- no luck.
Interestingly formatting the card with fat32 the card mounts after reboot or by hand. Formatting with mkfs.minix this works, too (aside from giving me only 64 MB with minix which I assume is normal).
Is this known?

I installed OZ 3.5.1-OPIE earlier and had the problem that always I was getting the following alert: "An unauthorized system is requesting access to this device. You chose IntelliSync so you may allow or deny this connection" (see my recent post here: http://www.oesf.org/forums/inde...showtopic=7086). I had to tap "allow" about 15 times to get syncing done.
Now I switched to Hentges OZ 3.3.6-pre1 / Opie 1.1.4 image, but am getting the alert message there, too. (Maybe that's because both images are based/built on OE !?)
Under security I set up "Any" or "192.168.129.0/24" for net connections and "Intellisync" for the software. Using older OZ version (OZ 3.3.5 for example) this is working flawlessly.
What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to disable that "connection check" behaviour to prevent asking for allowance to sync/connect?

I flashed my SL5500 with OZ-OPIE 3.5.1. I set up "networking" and "security" on my Z so that my Z and my w2k PC can talk to each other and can sync using Intellisync/Outlook via USB. Basically this is working.
When I start syncing, my Z comes up with a dialogue box saying:
"An unauthorized system is requesting access to this device. You chose IntelliSync so you may allow or deny this connection".
This dialogue box comes up for about 15 times until sync is finished. Every single time I have to tap on "allow" button to get sync to finish, which means that I have to tap "allow" 15 times. How can I fix this?
Another problem is that I am getting kind of a timeshift on my Z after syncing calendar. For example, I enter an appointment for 14:00 in Outlook. After syncing this appointment shows up for 12:00 on my Z. Timezone on my Z is set to Berlin.

I've been wondering why syncing Outlook with OZ's datebook _always_ results in "silent" alarms on the Z even if I set an alarm in Outlook.
I've read https://mail.kde.org/pipermail/kitchensync/...ary/000129.html and learned that syncing different types of alarms (silent/loud) are not supported by OPIE, yet.
Is there a workaround to get this to work? In my case I almost always need "loud" alarms on my Z. Silent alarms while having my Z in my pocket or not having my Z in range of vision is a pain.

Is there a notepad app for OZ which can sync with my w2k desktop (Outlook or Palm-Desktop)?
As a former Palm m500 user I know Palm-Desktop's built-in notepad for writing down ideas, wishlists and the like. It was great to have my notes in sync with my PC and the handheld.
I installed and tried "opie-notesapplet_1.0.3_arm.ipk" from the "http://opie.handhelds.org/feed/stable/familiar/" feed, which works well so far. Syncing it with Outlook or Palm-Desktop would be great.
