Can anyone direct me to some instructions on how to sync my C860 w/Cacko to my XP Laptop?
What do I need to install for sync software? I have read lots of threads, but they leave me scratching my head. I would like to do this with my usb cable and Qtopia Desktop. Is it possible? Thanks you for your help.

:Background:.
I have managed to install Apache on my C-860 running OZ 3.3.5. Yeah! I setup my http.conf. I changed the apachectl file with these settings PIDFILE=/home/www/logs/httpd.pid HTTPD='/home/www/bin/httpd' .:Problem:. When I try to start apachectl I get the following message ./apachectl start : httpd could not be started. I did a search to see if I had the correct path for the files httpd.pid and httpd. I when I did a find for httpd.pid file it couldnt find it! Does it sound like it'not being created? Mookid

My current config. C860 w/ 0Z 3.3.6 pre1 512MB SD Card TRENDNet CF card AmbiCom Wireless I have tried to install both Opera and Konquerer. They seem to install just fine, they show up in my application tab. But when I click on either one they both do the same thing. It shows litttle icon(of the one I clicked on) on the taskbar and then it dissapears. Then nothing happens. Any ideas? Mookid77

Hi All.
I ordered my C860 yesterday from Pricejapan.com. (Woot!) I also ordered a Kingston 512MB SD card, a CF ethernet and CF wireless card too. I have some questions though. I plan on running Apache/Php server and Mysql on it. What ROM would you recommend? I really would like to use it for basic PIM, and To do list. But most of the time I want to have email, web, VNC and network utiilties running. (Hence the Ethernet card) Thanks for the advice, Mookid77

Hi all!
I work for a medium size Communications Company. I am looking at purchacing some Sharp Zaurii for the tech dept. Either the 5600 or 6000 Series. After looking at the current PDA offerings, I found this one to be the best match. I would like your opinion though before I take the plunge. Here are some things I plan to use them for, and my current concerns. Project: Running Apache w/PHP and Mysql. I need do this because we run a knowledgebase Pineapple Technologies that uses PHP and Mysql. (This is currently running on a Windoze box). I would like to copy the database to a mapped SD card and be able to take it on the road, modify and then sync it back up with office server. Will I have issues with SD card formats. Will the Windoze box regonize a linux formated card? (is this even an isssue?) How well does the Zaurus run Apache/PHP/ and Mysql? I would also like to purchase some CF Serial cards so we will be able to run something similar to hyperterminal. A lot of our hardware need a direct serial connection to change settings, and having this portable solution would be key. Any input would be great! Thank you so much Mookid77 |
