Alright, I've been trying to do this on my own, but it's been at least 5 days and I'm basically just going in circles.
My zaurus is a SL-5000D running OpenZaurus 3.2. My computer is running gentoo with kernel version 2.6.7. I've tried various combinations of instructions from docs and forums all over the place (From OZ, ethernet over usb. ppp over usb, even other threads from this forum) and I'm still at the exact place I started. No matter what I seem to do, or how many kernel configuration permutations I seem to try, I still cannot ping the zaurus: CODE root@minips1 /usr/src/linux # ping 192.168.129.201 PING 192.168.129.201 (192.168.129.201) 56(84) bytes of data. I've tried running CODE # route add default gw 192.168.129.1 (same results whether I'm trying to use 192.168.129.1 or 192.168.129.200 on my computer).SIOCADDRT: Network is unreachable Anyway, I've recompiled my kernel no less than 15 times already, just trying whatever different things I can think of, and am now completely at a loss. I don't know if I missed a step or what, but I've gone over everything so much that I don't think I'd be able to find the problem myself anyway. Any ideas? Please? |
