Hi -

I am considering using the Archos 504 (or 604) as my PMP.
Thinking about my desktop system, though, the sound quality
was improved exponentially after LADSPA was installed
(for the aqualung music player, btw).

The sound is amazing... do you know if it is possible to install
LADSPA plugins and/or a music playing program on the Archos?
It would be great to have high quality audio in a small device
like this -- it would take a fair amount of the workload
off of the desktop as well.

Thanks in advance for your ideas...

I am looking to upgrade from the SL-5500.
Was considering a 6000, but the price makes it
something of a collector's item...

Interested in a C860,
good condition,
at Srono's price, $300.

Thanks in advance.

Found my last Z [the 5500] on this board.
Time to upgrade.

Looking for an SL-6000, in good condition
at about $300.

Original software CD is a must,
cradle/extras/accessories are bonus.

Best ways to reach me are via Email/PM.

Thanks in advance!

I just reflashed my SL-5500 with the Sharp 3.1 ROM.

After plugging in the D-Link Air DCF-660W card and configuring the
network settings using the "Network" wizard, the Z won't connect.

The MAC address to enable filtering on the router is unknown --
where can the MAC address for the card be found?

Thanks in advance.

I've got an SL-5500 running OpenZaurus 3.5.1 and Opie 1.1.6.

My network settings report that the IP is up on the Ethernet (usbd0) connection.

On the desktop, I'm running FC3 [kernel 2.6.9-1.724_FC3].

I can get a ping to the Zaurus' address, but Qtopia Desktop [v1.7] refuses to connect
for syncing [i.e. red icon in lower right hand corner and greyed-out "sync" options].

Does sync work with this set of hardware/software or is there something that I haven't tried yet?

Thanks in advance for your help!
