I'm trying to write some software that will allow me to program embedded controllers using the Z. I've got an unusual problem - I've gotten as far as being able to recognize the programmer, but as soon as I try to write a block of data to the controller, WHAM! Lockup. Here's where I could use some help. When I built libusb, the build enabled interrupt driven bulk data writes. Does anyone know if the USB controller in the 6000 allows for interrupt driven writes? Should I reprogram the application to use bulk writes?
I saw in the USB cables thread that someone else was getting lockup when trying to access a jukebox (I'll assume that's an MP3 player). Maybe this is something similair? I've been adding printf statements to the usb applications to try and get input on where the crash is occurring. Here's where I think the crash happens.

int usb_interrupt_write(usb_dev_handle *dev, int ep, char *bytes, int size,
    int timeout)
 /* Ensure the endpoint address is correct */
 return usb_interrupt_transfer(dev, ep & ~USB_ENDPOINT_IN, bytes, size,

crashes the system. Whazzup with that?
Thanks for your help, Zaurus experts!

I'm trying to get some USB devices working on my 6000. For that, I'd need libusb. Heres the interesting thing though. I installed the ZGCC compiler on the PDA, and use a Telnet session into terminal. I get an ERROR1 when I use the latest (0.1.10a) version of Libusb. Backing down, I see 0.1.8 works just great. Anyone have any idea what ERROR1 means? Or why I can't compile anything later than libusb0.1.8? My searches reveal nothing.

By the way, it was sweet having three linux experts logged into my Z all compiling programs. Think that most people use a PDA for contact info and calander, and here we are using the PDA as a server, and the workhorse of a small development team. biggrin.gif

Well, it looks like the link for Zaurus Minicom is gone. Does anybody have a minicom.ipk they can send me?

So, I go down to the store, find a great price on a GIG of SD, and buy the PQ1 1GB SD card. I pop it into the slot of my Zaurus, and...
I can't automount it, and I can't mount it as root.
So, I decide to stick it into my PC, and format it, to see if I had an unformatted card. PRetty likely.
But, when I press down on the card, it doesn't pop out! I press, I pull, I use needle nose pliiers and pull... It just won't come out!

I have a 128MB transflash w/ adaptor that worked just great. So I think I know why the memory was so cheap. Any ideas on how to get the memory card out of my Z?
