network over USB is still not working
PC gentoo linux with 2.6.11-gentoo-r5 kernel I have this configuration of kernel CODE CONFIG_USB_USBNET=m CONFIG_USB_ALI_M5632=y CONFIG_USB_ARMLINUX=y CONFIG_USB_ZAURUS=y CONFIG_USB_GADGET=m CONFIG_USB_GADGET_NET2280=y CONFIG_USB_NET2280=m CONFIG_USB_GADGET_DUALSPEED=y CONFIG_USB_ETH=m CONFIG_USB_ETH_RNDIS=y Zaurus SL-6000L flashed with OZ 3.5.3 from openzaurus.org + opie CODE uname -a 2.4.18-rmk7-pxa3-embedix modprobe -l not any output what I have done - configuring usbd0 on Z using graphical interface settins -> Network -> usbd0 I did used static ip, and switch on automatical bring up on boot - I did restart Z - I did configure usb0 on PC, set up with static IP what is working when I plug Z tu the gadget : 1. I did install openzaurus ROM 3.5.2 with opie on my SL-6000L 2 days ago. I am slowly adding some new software.
I am just installin opie-mediaplaye2, I did find out that it is need quite a lot of dependencies, so I am installing them. BUT with libxine-plugin-inp-file_1.0.0-rc7-r0_arm.ipk I have problem, I am not able to write all output but this is few lines from it: CODE ... cleanup_temporary_file: pkg=libxine......... Failed. Configuring unpacked packages ... ... An error ocurred, return value 1. I did check intalation, the plugin is there I mean that file .so but PACKAGE is not installed and I am not able to continue to install opie-mediaplayer2 I did download package again but same problem. what should I do ?

I decided that I will flash ROM to OpenZaurus ROM. but I am not sure what I should do before, and I don't know how the device is working. please correct me if I am NOT right, or point me to good web where can I find more details, thanks. SL-6000 has 64MB + 64MB: :first 64MB is NAND where original ROM is stored - slow chip :second 64MB is RAM where OS is running - fast chip - I did install several programs, I did choose Internal flash, it's mean that it was instaled in ffirst 64MB or in second? - when I will flash ROM with OpenZaurus what will happend, will original ROM disappear? If I will not like that shal I go back to original ROM - I did install programs using original ROM, I did install to internal flash, let's say it did take 2MB of space, so if I will stay on OpenZaurus and another sets of programs, so should I uninstall those programs and get 2MB more free space before flashing to OpenZaurus? |
