Hi,

I have a sl-860 at the moment running Cacko and am considering the upgrade to a sl-3200, partly for the storage and also the increase in speed.

Is there much of a difference in speed, I would ideally like to be able to watch movies/tv episodes on the machine (hence the 6gb sounds appealing) and the 860 still isn't quite upto it.

What sort of performance jump does it have over the 860?

Is it worth spending the money?

Cheers

Hi,

I have been fighting with a the NL-2511CF card for sometime. My zaurus is a C860 running the cacko 1.22 rom with the hotix installed. The Zaurus can see the card and if I configure my laptop for adhoc mode I can get both the Zaurus and the laptop quite happily chatting away.

The problem is when trying to get the card to work in Infrastrucure mode. I have a Linksys Wap54G access point, with all security switched off (while configuring things) and the 2511 attempts to connect, but fails after a couple of minutes.

During that time the Zaurus appears to hang and become unresponsive. Eventually is comes up with a cant connect message.

Anyone got any ideas? The problem only appears in Infrastructure mode?

Strange?

Cheers in advance

I have had my Z for sometime now and am more than a little impressed, but I would like to start developing some programs for it, more out of "cos I can" as opposed to plugging some gaping gap in the market. I have had a browse round and there seems to be various options for performing the task from C++ to Java, plus some odd balls in between.

What is the groups concensious as to the best environment/language to use, I have used most things in the past so it makes no real odds to me, but I would like to exploit the full GUI front end.

Ideally I would like to do the bulk of the devlopment on my PC (Redhat/Win98), but would also like to be able to tweak and recompile on the Z.

Thanks in advance for any advice/pointers.

I have just received a second hand C860 from Ebay and am very impressed with it so far. I have checked the version information in the rom and it is currently version 1.10JP. I have no real need/inclination to flash it with anything other than a flash rom (at the moment anyway smile.gif ). I have seen what appears to be a version 1.4 rom floating around, would I get any advantage to moving to a later sharp rom version?

Thanks in advance
