I can't get through to pdaxrom.org, openzaurus.org redirects to http://openzaurus.linuxtogo.org/wordpress/ which is very pretty but otherwise useless, and oesf.org gives:

Warning: _loadcachedcode(/tmp/tpl_0_7_0_766ea99e632183d2b4f45e85d9bfe9c3.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /public/vhost/o/oesf/html/PHPTAL-NP-0.7.0/libs/PHPTAL/Template.php on line 430
etc...

In particular, where can I go to get the lastest pdaxrom?
TIA

There must be a way using dd to cut up the image and then use the loopback device to mount the various parts of the SYSTC100.DBK nand backup image once it is held on another (linux) system. It is just a matter of knowing where to cut it and what type is the filesystem(s), surely?. This would be very handy to be able to fish out the config info from an old system to put back into a newly flashed system. Anybody know how to do it?

Attached script solves this problem for the C1000. Probably fairly easy to adapt for other models.
Ho hum:

Upload failed. You are not permitted to upload a file with that file extension.

So I can't upload it ;-( Tried with .sh and no extension at all. Any ideas?

Has anybody ported either of these open source VOIP SIP clients to pdaxrom:

http://www.openwengo.org/
http://www.gnomemeeting.org/

Still hoping to make phone calls from my C1000:

kphone - v4.04 is barely usable (except _sometimes_ over high bandwidth connections) and seems pretty well dead as a developing project;

gizmo - no sign that they are even going to keep the main linux ports uptodate, even less do a pdaxrom version;

skype - hmmm, fat chance.

Any others that I've missed?

TIA

I'd like to try out the new beta4 on my c1000, I'm currently running beta1. I've got a 1g SD card so lots of spare storage. But I really can't afford to lose my existing system so I need a cast iron backup and restore procedure. How do I do that?
TIA

I'm trying to get kphone v4.04 going on a c1000 running 1.1.0beta1.

I've managed to get a few calls to test numbers connected and actually heard stuff but I've yet to be able to speak to anyone. The problem seems to be to do with the OSS sound system and /dev/dsp. The really big problem is that whenever you place a call, kphone hangs _for_some_minutes_ at:

CallAudio: Opening OSS device /dev/dsp for Input and Output

After this long delay, it sometimes connects the call and sometimes timesout, but this delay makes it virtually impossible to experiment with different settings to see if something in the config will fix it.

Has anyone got kphone going recently? I see from previous posts that people have had it going in the past on previous versions of pdaxrom.

TIA
John
