I've been reading this forum for the last few days, waiting for my CL-3000. You guys are great!
My CL-3000 arrived today and I've been able to get most stuff working. This modem is a puzzler, however. I tried using minicom talking to /dev/ttyS3, and nothing happens. Here's what /var/log/messages says about it: CODE Aug 3 00:01:35 localhost kernel: pxa_pcmcia_init(0) Aug 3 04:01:35 localhost cardmgr[86]: shutting down socket 0 Aug 3 04:01:35 localhost cardmgr[86]: executing: 'modprobe -r 8390' Aug 3 04:01:45 localhost cardmgr[86]: initializing socket 0 Aug 3 04:01:45 localhost cardmgr[86]: socket 0: D-Link DMF560TX Ethernet/Modem Aug 3 04:01:45 localhost cardmgr[86]: executing: 'modprobe 8390' Aug 3 04:01:45 localhost cardmgr[86]: + modprobe: Can't locate module 8390 Aug 3 04:01:45 localhost cardmgr[86]: modprobe exited with status 255 Aug 3 04:01:45 localhost cardmgr[86]: module /lib/modules/2.4.20/net/8390.o not available Aug 3 04:01:45 localhost cardmgr[86]: get dev info on socket 0 failed: No such device Aug 3 00:01:45 localhost kernel: pcnet_cs: RequestIO: No more items I saw another thread where someone said he had it working on a 5500. Has anyone gotten this to work on a 3000? Failing that, does anyone have a 56K modem they can recommend? |
